Cupcake Retreat

Well we made it!  7 months in the making, 6 and a half hours in the stamping and a whole slew of cupcakes to be eaten!  I would say we had a wonderful little success in our first stamp retreat.  We had 17 wonderful ladies show up and Kathy saved my batootie at the last minute when we out grew our original location for the Cupcake Retreat!  I even got to see an old costume I wore and my mom made 20 years ago!  (No, there is no way I could still fit in the Cinderella dress!  20 years and more than 20 pounds later doesn't crack it!)

Cupcake Bunkies

 These cute little bags were designed by my mom and she made one for everyone.  They are the perfect size to put your supplies in; tape, pearls, Dimensionals and finished cards.  Love, love, love them!  THANK YOU, MOM!

Cupcake Prizes

You can't have a party without give-a-ways, right?  We had a fun "grab bag" section for those people who brought cupcakes.  We had cupcake card sets, cupcake topper picks, an apron, cupcake tray, cupcake pins, so much fun!

Thank you to all of the ladies who came out and have a fun time and all of the newbies!  Since we had a unanimous decision to do this again, we will definitely make some changes!!   Earlier and mid break were wonderful suggestions!!!

Simple Birthday Cupcake - Purple

And so we come to an end!  The Cupcake Retreat Cards are all up and posted EXCEPT perhaps a special surprise that MAY make it to Payson.  But that will just have to wait!

Now it's time for me to the final stages of packing, take a much needed break and get ready to start all over again in New Mexico!

Simple Cupcake Birthday - Pink

I am just loving the pink and green combo and I know Jordyn is beyond tickled that I have fallen in love with her favorite color of green.  She isn't too thrilled with pink, but you can't please them all!  =)

Simple Birthday Cupcake - Blue

The simple blue birthday cupcake starts another color series for cupcake cards.  Not as cute as the cupcake shop, but what can I say?  =) 

Glittery Cupcake

This card was so super fun to make and the picture just doesn't do it justice...yes, I will be getting better!  I sure as heck can't get any worse, right?

I just couldn't help but glitter the heck out of this one too.  I think the hotel we are going to be using may be a little upset with all of the glitter I am bringing into their place!  Ooops!  But it's all for a good cause, right?

Tower of Cupcakes

THIS card is actually going to be a "Bling It" Card!   The ladies are going to be able to either make it very simple OR they can bring their own embellishments to jazz this baby up!  I actually went and bought some nifty little doo-dads to throw onto a new card!  I am talking feathers, sparklies and ruffled ribbon!  Oh ya, baby!  I will be posting pictures as soon as I get those bad boys up and running!

Cupcake Shop - Green

The LAST of the Cupcake Shop series!  Not the last of the cupcake cards, but the last one of the shop.  So loving the awning and the polka dot ribbon is just perfect!

Yes, I am so loving this design and it just works so well with so many different colors!  How can I NOT be excited?!

Cupcake Shop - Pink

One of the things I like to do with my cards is name them and when I was first doing up these cards I couldn't help but think of my little niece Kennedy, so these cards are named just for her!

Cupcake Shop - Purple

I LOVE this design and I did a series of 4 with these cards.  This is my favorite because quite frankly, I love purple!  You can't really tell on the pictures, but the little frosting has glitter on them!  Too cute!

I totally remember who inspired this card!  Robin Merriman at Trinity Designs.  I love all of her designs and this one was just too perfect to not CASE!

Cupcake Fun!

Coming up in August a slew of us ladies are heading up to the cool mountains of Payson, AZ and totally having a Cupcake Retreat!  We will be making 22 cupcake cards, eating yummy cupcakes, and having loads of laughs!

I know it is two months away, but I can't wait for August and the festivities.  Plus, since I am packing up my studio today and I won't be making any more new fun projects, I figured I would just do a whole series on all of the cards we will be putting together at the Cupcake Retreat!

You will have to pardon my lack of picture taking skills on some of these, I promise to get better when I have some more time!!!
