Lots Coming Up!

I have one more class to host at my house in Gilbert before I head out to New Mexico at the end of May, but that doesn't mean those are the only cards that I have to make!  I am quite anal about all of my organization behind making my cards, my dear cousin Courtney can totally attest to the madness of all of my forms, Excel spreadsheets and other insanity.  So when I was putting together my work orders for cards to make in the next 30 days I was quite shocked at what I did to myself!!!

I have Jordyn's graduation announcements to make next week.
Father's Day and Men Birthday cards to create for the last class in May.
All of the goodies for my Ladies Appreciation Shindig, which are so stinking cute I might add!
All of the insides for the cards for the Virtual Card Class that starts in June.
The alternate versions of the cards for the Virtual Card Class.
30 card birthday order that I need to complete.

Did I mention I am supposed to be packing during this time?  Not really sure what I was thinking, but I am so glad I have the next 5 days off of work because I am going to need it!

Happy days!!!

Mother's Day and Ladies Birthday Cards

When I was designing the cards for the Mother's Day and Ladies Birthday Card Class this weekend I went with my new Gooseberry Cottage colors for my inspiration!  Tempting Turquoise, Lucky Limeade and Concord Crush made my day!  A couple of the cards were cased from other demonstrators and I really wish I remembered who, but let's face it they are all amazingly talented!

This one is MY FAVORITE!!!  And I totally cased the whole dang gone thing.  It was perfect, colors and all!

Almost Finished!

Well we have been crazy busy here at Gooseberry Cottage!  Aside from a laptop committing suicide, Stephan and his father have completed the bathroom in the cottage!!  We just need to get a mirror for over the sink and the bathroom will be finished.  The only thing left to do is install the carpet which if all goes well, will be installed next week!

Life back in Gilbert has been crazy as well.  We are starting the packing process, moving odds and ends to the storage room, my daughter graduates in a few weeks, work is coming to an end, and friends and family need to be visited.  Not to mention the last few card classes need to be had.

It is definitely one of those bittersweet moments where I am super excited to FINALLY live a life with my husband without the dividing forces of living two separate lives.  The lives we have in our home towns and the lives we share on Friday nights together.  It is definitely taking its toll as we have been doing this for a year and a half and we are both excited to finally be together.  The bitter side of things is leaving my friends, my family, and my daughter behind.  My mom insists I am not REALLY leaving because we will be back so often for my son to see his father and she does have a point.  (Mom's are smart like that!)

As time draws near more emotions come to surface; the excitement, the anxiety, the thrill and fear of the unknown, the wonderment and the start of a new chapter in life.  I will have a new life ahead of me, a life where I get to make cards to my little hearts content, mixed in with helping Stephan run his DJ business, being a mom to 3 boys and 2 girls, a wife, contracting for my current employer, avoiding going into Farmington at all costs, and cooking to my little hearts content!  Garrett is SO looking forward to that one!

So a lot happening here and I promise to be a bit more consistent in my posts especially once I am all set up in my new digs!!!

Until then,

Happy Stamping!

Matthew

Let's face it, whenever a storm needs to be weathered having a lighthouse in the distance to steer you home safe is always a warm and comforting feeling!  When I was creating the Matthew card it dawned on me that the lighthouse is a wonderful analogy in our high tech world to our most valued IT gurus!  I have been extremely blessed over the years to work with the brilliant, the reliable, the genius and the life savers aka the I.T. Guy!

They guide us safely to calm waters aka "reboot".
With a few swift key strokes they miraculous get your computer off the rocks.
And if you are extremely lucky they become more than "just the I.T. guy" they become friends.

Thus, the Matthew card was born!

Always a guiding light through the toughest of storms.  Matthew is strong when it comes to facing adversity and the perfect way to send a special Happy Birthday to that wonderful man in your life!  Plus he can quickly be converted from a birthday card to a Father's Day card.

Matthew comes with a matching envelope and the inside sentiment reads:
"Life is uncharted territory.  It reveals its story one moment at a time.  - Leo F. Buscaglia"

If you would like to send a special card to that wonderful man in your life, the Matthew card couldn't be more perfect!

Send your own beacon of light to your special man!  Get Matthew!

Virtual Card Class

Sorry for the prolonged absence from my little blog, but I have been up to my eyeballs in a bunch of card classes coming up in the next couple of months and planning my move.  It has been crazy to say the least!  HOWEVER!  My new class series is all up and running and I am beyond excited.  The cards are made, the recipes created and the web updates have been finished!

So what is my latest card class creation?  It is a Virtual Card Class!   (Yes, go ahead and do the "huh", everyone does!)  The Virtual Card Class simply means you don't have to come over to my humble abode to make cards.  You can be anywhere in the world, you can create cards at whatever time of the day suits your schedule, you can be in your jammies, at the park, waiting for kids at swim practice or with a bunch of friends having fun and enjoying great company.

I will be mailing out the paper, instructions AND the stamps to create your own little card fun!  Still have questions?  Just visit our FAQ page and find out some fun information.  If you want to take a sneak peak at the cards we will be creating, please hop on over to our Virtual Card Class page on our blog and peruse the creative fun!

The best part is ANYONE can join!  You can be living in Arizona, Timbuktu, or the deepest and darkest of jungles!  As long as you can receive snail mail, you can be a part of our Virtual Card Class!

Here is the picture of the first card in our little series!

Keep checking back for more updates on our Virtual Card Class, upcoming classes, news on Gooseberry Cottage, and fun cards!

Happy Stamping,
Suzanne
